We met via an online dating site. Both of us tired of the ho-hum and crazies that those sites bring out, but also willing to give it another shot. Stephen was a bit more open minded than I was. I was more skeptical at this point and not quite as open to love as I had thought I was. You know the stories that your great grandparents told you about falling in love? "The first time I saw her, I just knew I was going to marry her." I have always thought those stories were so full it. Then I met Stephen. Somewhere in my head, I heard my brain telling me that was the man I was going to marry. It scared me so much, I was like no, nope, no! There is no way that you know that!!! I even made him go on dates with other women. Poor guy, I yanked him back and forth because I was scared of my own feelings! Finally, it came to an end when he was telling me all about this date he had planned for this other girl. "Alright, that's enough of that. You're done dating other women” And just like that, we've been together ever since. I'm not sure what this crazy guy see's in me or with me, but I don't care because he makes me feel loved and treasured every single day. I think every person deserves that kind of unconditional love, I'm just so thankful that in this crazy huge universe that I found my soulmate and love of my life. Even when I'm on my worst behavior, he still loves on me and makes me want to be a better person. I can't wait to say "I do" and spend the rest of my days wandering the universe with this man!

I knew she was special from the start. She was cute, smart, and most importantly she thought I was hilarious. She loves me for who I am. She inspires me to become a better version of me without pushing me to change who I am. She supports my dreams, even the crazy one where we leave it all to start a self-sufficient farm in the Canadian hinterlands. I will raise grizzly bear cubs and the locals will call me Grizzly Gus. But I digress, no one else has ever made me so happy or driven me so crazy at the same time (I had a full head of hair when we met). She truly is my beautiful gentle little Dove for all the grace and peace she has put into my life. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with this amazing woman. Walking forward into the future hand in hand with my best friend, I feel like there isn't anything we can’t do, no goals we can’t complete, no heights we can’t reach.

Luckily I get the last word here, grizzly Gus is staying Stephen and by full head of hair, he means his beard!
